Welcome to the UCLA Computing Support Coordinator (CSC) web, dedicated to UCLA's technical support community.
The goals of the CSC web area are to:
- Save CSCs the unnecessary effort of doing research or creating tools, reports, forms, or support aids that have already been researched or developed elsewhere on campus.
- Provide an up-to-date database of fellow CSCs and the tools that they use in order to efficiently share expertise and products and further build a cross-campus technical support consortium.
- Provide a clearinghouse of valuable information on hot topics (e.g. authentication), new technologies (e.g. document imaging), key issues, and money- or time-saving opportunities (e.g. software site licenses) for the entire UCLA community.
- Create a central, easy-to-access, online site for distributing timely technical news and announcements without inundating you with emails
- Help new CSCs on campus quickly acclimate themselves to the environment, services, point people, and opportunities available for them in their new job
