The CSC's Email List

The purpose of the CSC listserv is to create a communications tree on the campus to notify technical personnel of changes to central computing that affect large user populations, campus position openings, vendor presentations meetings, CSC conferences, etc. It can also be used to broadcast information back or across the list by list members.

To join or leave the CSCS mailing list (Computing Support Coordinators [CSCs]) contact Hania Brooks hbrooks@ais.ucla.edu at AIS. Official CSCs must be on the mailing list. Others may join if they like and leave at any time.

POSTING A MESSAGE TO THE LISTSERV

To send a message to all the people currently subscribed to the list, just send mail to CSCS@LISTS.UCLA.EDU. This is a monitored listserv, so your mailgoes to the monitor for approval. When the CSC monitor OKs your mail, it is sent out exactly as it came from you. If the monitor does not approve the email, the sender is notified and given an explanation why the email was not posted. Most emails to the listserv are approved and sent within eight work hours.
